It's that time of year again. While most of you just come here to play poker, I would like to mention a couple of this year's candidates to consider in case you don't really care but might still be arsed to vote, or haven't thought about things much yet.

The first is T'amber Anomandari Demaleon, formerly just known as T'Amber, the former owner of the famous Ships of EVE lottery events. EOH bought Ships of EVE a while back and we've been planning on relaunching it one of these days, but since this hasn't happened yet, you can currently find out all you need to know about T'Amber's CSM campaign at www.shipsofeve.com. He's a fun guy and has put countless hours into EVE graphics, events, and entertainment, so definitely worth a look.

The second candidate I want to mention is Riverini, owner of EVE News 24. EOH has had a strong advertising relationship with EN24 since they were a young website, and since then they've become a massive news rag (some would say tabloid) for the EVE community. Love them or hate them, Riverini has made something that will be a part of EVE history forever, so he is also worth a look.

Friends, compulsive gamblers, spaceship countrymen, lend me your ears!

It has been over four years since I became the owner of a modest poker room called EVE Online Hold'Em. In those four years we have gone through two major versions of our poker software, published four versions of the website, have hired close to 200 staff members, and have served well over 30,000 unique customers. As of this news post we have handled over 150 Trillion ISK in poker buy-ins between our tournament and ring games combined. While there have been ups and downs, I can't help but be pleased at the continued success of our operation and how it has grown over the years. Thank you to everyone who has ever played at EOH, and especially to those who have helped it grow through service as bankers, sharing EOH with their friends, or just being sociable in our channels.

Now, for the important news!

The LAST CHANCE GAME for the EVE SERIES OF POKER IV ANNIVERSARY TOURNAMENT will be held at 00:01 EVE time on the 28th. This is Friday evening in the Americas and the dead of night in Europe (sorry guys!). The ESOP IV SERIES FINAL will begin taking registrations at 20:00 EVE time on the 28th, and will close at 20:30. Remaining seats will be auctioned off at this point with all proceeds being added to the prize pool. Whether you like to play live roulette games, big stakes blackjack or keno if you like to gamble, this is one tournament you don't want to miss out on.  The game itself starts at 21:00 EVE time. The prizes for the ESOP IV SERIES FINAL include:

1. Malice
2. 2/3rd of all ISK in the Series Final pot (minimum of 6.66 Billion ISK).
3. 1/3rd of all ISK in the Series Final pot (minimum of 3.33 Billion ISK). 
   
   

I will also be hosting a series of freerolls on the 28th during US daytime and evening, so do stop by and play games, and maybe catch a freeroll or two to celebrate four years of EOH!

Update: Congratulations to our winners of the ESOP IV! They are: OZMAHGAWD (1st), Shaved Knuckles (2nd), Ahriman Gate (3rd). And their prizes were quite impressive: (Malice to 1st, 11 Billion ISK to 2nd, 5.5 Billion ISK to 3rd). In addition we gave away 8 Billion ISK across multiple freerolls. Thanks to everyone who made it another great year for EOH!

First, we have been behind on purging old accounts. Today we finally cleared out several thousand unused accounts which had a 0 balance due to being unused for over 90 days. If you are a returning customer to EOH and are unable to log in, please try to create a new account as your old account has probably been deleted. If you have technical issues with the loss of an old account or questions about balance wipes prior to deletion, please submit a help ticket through the Help Desk on this website with details. Be sure to submit it from an account owned by the same character that owned the deleted account. I will try to get back to you with a resolution, though it may take a few days.

We are also looking for members of the EVE blogging community to help grow our community, so if you run an EVE-related blog please contact Canine Fiend through evemail, and ask for details as he is the EOH manager in charge of this effort.
