ESOP IV Finale and EOH Celebrates 4 Years
Friends, compulsive gamblers, spaceship countrymen, lend me your ears!
It has been over four years since I became the owner of a modest poker room called EVE Online Hold'Em. In those four years we have gone through two major versions of our poker software, published four versions of the website, have hired close to 200 staff members, and have served well over 30,000 unique customers. As of this news post we have handled over 150 Trillion ISK in poker buy-ins between our tournament and ring games combined. While there have been ups and downs, I can't help but be pleased at the continued success of our operation and how it has grown over the years. Thank you to everyone who has ever played at EOH, and especially to those who have helped it grow through service as bankers, sharing EOH with their friends, or just being sociable in our channels.
Now, for the important news!
The LAST CHANCE GAME for the EVE SERIES OF POKER IV ANNIVERSARY TOURNAMENT will be held at 00:01 EVE time on the 28th. This is Friday evening in the Americas and the dead of night in Europe (sorry guys!). The ESOP IV SERIES FINAL will begin taking registrations at 20:00 EVE time on the 28th, and will close at 20:30. Remaining seats will be auctioned off at this point with all proceeds being added to the prize pool. The game itself starts at 21:00 EVE time. The prizes for the ESOP IV SERIES FINAL include:
- Malice
- 2/3rd of all ISK in the Series Final pot (minimum of 6.66 Billion ISK).
- 1/3rd of all ISK in the Series Final pot (minimum of 3.33 Billion ISK).
I will also be hosting a series of freerolls on the 28th during US daytime and evening, so do stop by and play games, and maybe catch a freeroll or two to celebrate four years of EOH!
Update! Account Purge, Blogs, and More
First, we have been behind on purging old accounts. Today we finally cleared out several thousand unused accounts which had a 0 balance due to being unused for over 90 days. If you are a returning customer to EOH and are unable to log in, please try to create a new account as your old account has probably been deleted. If you have technical issues with the loss of an old account or questions about balance wipes prior to deletion, please submit a help ticket through the Help Desk on this website with details. Be sure to submit it from an account owned by the same character that owned the deleted account. I will try to get back to you with a resolution, though it may take a few days.
We are also looking for members of the EVE blogging community to help grow our community, so if you run an EVE-related blog please contact Canine Fiend through evemail, and ask for details as he is the EOH manager in charge of this effort.

EOH Forum Thread
With the change over to the new EVE-O forums, EOH now has a new official forum thread. We ran a very nice promotion giving out more ISK than usual, and it was a smashing success. Since this went so well, we have now permanently upped the forum reward value to 20 Million ISK, free. Please read the second post in the forum thread for specifics on how to be eligible for a reward! Payments are processed ONCE PER WEEK by EOH Saint, so please be patient! Also payments are made in ISK directly to the posting character.
